You don't have to make sure it runs on GNU/Linux, though doing so would be
very nice to lots of free software users who use it. :)

There's FreeDOS[1]--a free DOS implementation.  Could you try your program on
FreeDOS and see if it actually works there?  If so we can approve your project
with no further delay.  However, we'll ask you to test changes/improvements to
your project in a free environment regularly.
