==== Description: ====
The aim of the project is to create a possibility for migration of schools to
GNU-based environment: GNU/Linux (or GNU/Hurd if it is possible). Though there
are already enough free software to replace almost every non-free program in
teaching process, there are no freely available textbooks both for teachers
and for children. We'd like to write those books and make them available
under GNU FDL or GNU SFDL.
To do so, we adhere official curriculum published by Ministry of Education of
our country (Belarus) and use free docs (like Wikipedia ) and our own
experience to write textbooks for different ages (forms). The language that
we are going to write is Russian.
Currently we are working on the 1st textbook for children, writing it with
the help of GNU/Emacs running on GNU/Linux and searching for the place to put
the results of our work and to maintain the process of collaborative work. If
it is necessary we can send you what is available by this moment.
