Description:

  GCOM is a framework derived from some of the OSKit's headers and code to
create COM components and applications using those components.

Basic functionality, with an application-embedded registrar (i.e. Components,
Registrar and the code using components is all in one) is reached. You can
find the code at http://lugbari.org/~gianluca/gcom

Future works will relate having a system-wide component registrar, based on
shared libraries and some sort of components database, to permit
reutilization of code and common system-wide applications behaviour.

A network-level distributed component environment (registrar and component
RPC) is actually in design stage.
