Description:

  Project Purpose

The goal of this project is to develop extensions to the GNU Scientific
Library of particular relevence to research in machine learning, especially
in audio signal processing and language processing.

Project Summarization

So far, four extensions have been written:

1. Core: generic routines defined on "official" GSL data-types.  For example,
it defines many more vector/matrix operations.

2. DSP: routines for processing 1-dimensional digital signals (mainly
audio).

3. NNET: routines for fitting neural networks to data.

4. DATA: routines for managing data sets.

Other Software Required:

  There is dependency on the GNU Scientific Library.

There are optional dependencies on libraries for loading audio data:
libmad (mp3 decoder)
libsndfile (audio file library)

There is an optional dependency on FFTW.

There is also a planned optional dependency on libSIMD.
