  I would like to creat a project for totally GPLed Standard Chinese fonts.
There are no such font right now. Some covered only a little scale of
characters, some with font quality are low and some used 

problematic licenses.  



My goal is to conform to China National Standard of Chinese fonts in IT and
provide as much as possible high quality and standard Chinese fonts.



Currently, I would like to creat a 15x16 dot matrix songti font and a vector
songti font. Both of them cover GB2312 character set, which is 7577
characters right now. 



There is no font file nowadays, as I am just finish planning stage. I am also
a member of Wen Quan Yi Unicode CJK font project.

But this project's goal is completely different with that. Furthermore, Wen
Quan Yi is using ARPHIC Public License(APL) for some of their fonts.



I hope you would like to approval my project. I also hope these fonts will
become standard and default Chinese fonts in every Free OS later.
