Generally speaking, it's just a matter of removing the directory from the
list-spool. (When $listname doesn't exist in the list-spool directory, the
mail is bounced.)
On a slightly related note, 'syslink'ing list's (for say when a list moves
from @nongnu to @gnu) should just be a matter of
`touch /var/lib/mailman/lists/list/domains/[the-symlink-domain]'
no?
