Christopher Culver <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Charmap - a GNUstep character map
System name: charmap
Type: non-GNU
Description:
Charmap is a character map built with the GNUstep libraries (www.gnustep.org).
Feature-wise it is modelled after gucharmap (gucharmap.sourceforge.net). It
uses Unicode.org\'s Unicode standard data to display a wide range of
information on each character, including CJK proununciation, cross-references,
and Unicode decomposition.
Charmap is also meant to strengthen GNUstep\'s offerings as a desktop
environment. Besides being a stand-alone application, it will provide
integration with other GS application as a GNUstep \"service\", permitting
users to easily input hard-to-find characters in any GS application.
Other Software Required:
Charmap requires the GNUstep libs (www.gnustep.org).
