A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Artem V. Andreev <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: The HTML Inclusion Tool
System name: hit
Type: GNU
Description:
This project is a HTML preprocessor which can work as a standalone
utility os a CGI application. Being Web oriented, it is not however
limited to HTML or XML processing and can be used for any kind of
text documents. Preprocessor instructions have XML/SGML-like syntax
(I mean, PIs). However they are recognized in any place, not only where
XML specification says. The set of instructions includes simple
variable substitution, file inclusion, string manipulation and
access to Berkley DBs. In future, other functionality will be added
such as queries to LDAP and RDMBSes. The source code may be obtained
from here:
The program now runs on GNU/Linux but should very easy to port to
other Unix-like environments.
Other Software Required:
db-1.85 or any later version
