Hello Savannah Hackers Crew,
according to the Savannah FAQ, sftp is currently having problems.
I have tried connecting using PuTTY with my SSH auth agent running
(Pageant). CVS
access under my developer login works fine, but not SFTP.
Although I explicitly request sftp to use SSH1 authentication, the handshake
seems to
always fall-forward to SSH2. As SSH2 keys are not supported at Savannah, the
sftp
client falls back to password authentication, which fails as Savannah is key
based.
See some command line snippets below.
Regards,
Leon.
C:\PuTTY>psftp -h
PuTTY Secure File Transfer (SFTP) client
Release 0.53b
Usage: psftp [options] address@hidden
Options:

Using username "likewise".
Pageant is running. Requesting keys.
Pageant has 0 SSH2 keys
