A package was submitted to savannah.nongnu.org

Stephen Compall <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: other
Other License: This archive uses the pre-FDL GNU book copyleft. Most of the
essays, however, have licenses similar to the GNU website license. I chose this
license for parallel to the rms-essays book.
The text is as follows:
Verbatim copying and distribution of this entire book is permitted in any
medium, provided this notice is preserved.
@ignore
Permission is granted to process this file through TeX and print the results,
provided the printed document carries copying permission notice identical to
this one except for the removal of this paragraph (this paragraph not being
relevant to the printed manual).
@end ignore
Permission is granted to copy and distribute modified versions of this book
under the conditions for verbatim copying.
Permission is granted to copy and distribute translations of this book into
another language (from the original English), with respect to the conditions
above, provided that it has been approved by the Free Software Foundation.
If the FSF wishes this to be a GNU project, then the last paragraph will remain
unchanged; otherwise, the condition will likely be removed.
Package: GNU Online Philosophy archive
System name: gnuphil
Type: non-GNU
Description:
GNU Online Philosophy is a rather large collection of the essays on
http://www.gnu.org/philosophy, converted into Texinfo. It is intended to
supplement the new book `Free Software, Free Society: Selected Essays of
Richard M. Stallman\' <http://www.gnupress.org/book13.html>; as such, it does
not include any essays that appear in that book. (Although they did add one or
two *after* I had already included them in this archive.)
The book overall uses the same license used by the rms-essays project; however,
as with that project, the essays included each have their own licenses. All of
the essays so far allow at least any kind of electronic distribution; all but
one allow printed redistribution.
The most difficult part of this project, and possibly most useful, is the
archiving of many of the \"Third Party Essays\" listed on the GNU Philosophy
page. I have obtained `verbatim copying\' (www.gnu.org-style) or public domain
statements from some of the copyright holders who didn\'t already state such a
license, but have quite a few more to contact, and some who have failed to
reply.
A great deal of it is done, but I am unable to distribute at this time because
I have not filled in some of the required licensing comments, per the Texinfo
team. When I get that, I\'ll post a tarball.
Other Software Required:
This archive requires Texinfo 4.1 to build; I am testing with Texinfo 4.2, and
have found several bugs that will hopefully be fixed in the next release.
Other Comments:
If the FSF believes this archive should be a GNU project, I will be happy to
oblige.
