Apparently when the list was set up it was set up as a non-GNU project
and not as a GNU project. Which caused the confusion with the mailing
list addresses.

But it should have been @gnu.org which was where it was expected. And
of course all of the documentation pointed there. Which was why we
were working to get it corrected. Glad to hear @gnu.org is all fixed
now. I will test it out momentarily.

I sent a note to savannah-hackers a week ago asking questions because
the web interface showed the other (wrong) address. The responses
sounded as if we should just change the address, which I did, but when
that did not work I sent another note to the group asking for more
assistance.
You say "mailing list issues need to be emailed to sysadmin" but
sysadmin where? I was previously under the idea that savannah-hackers
were the admins. And as I asked in a previous note if there was a
more appropriate forum to discuss issues such as this I would happily
be redirected. No one redirected me. So address@hidden I will
use that for the next issue that comes up. I see that these messages
were CC'd to system-hackers instead of savannah-hackers.
Thanks for getting this straighted out. It is much appreciated.
