Question before me is I need a Free Software webservice frame for my
project mainly authentication service (yes i am looking for it and need
it in few months). Can DotGNU give that ?
It would certainly fit into the DotGNU framework, provided that
it's GPL'd and doesn't conflict with any GNU policy.
There are three "active proposals" which have code that could
maybe meet your needs:
- masc
- IDsec
- GlobalLogin
ISsec and GlobalLogin are unfortunately not publicly released
yet, even though the authors and copyright holders had the
intention to do this.
(I don't know the exact status and what the problem is with
regard to GlobalLogin. With IDsec the problem seems to be
that the author was told that before he can put the code on
Savannah, he must first port it to run on Kaffe.)
( I am asking this from the view of a client, the project in which
i joined recently is a possible client for DotGNU Inc.
I dont have enough justifications to provide if I say DotGNU will
help. Let us solve that first.)
Greetings, Norbert.
