A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Gaurav Vaish <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Java to IL Compiler
System name: jilc
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Project christened \"jilc\".
The jilc, as I\'d call it, is (read: will be) an open source implementation
of Java bytecode to IL Bytecode compiler.
Currently, almost nothing is ready. But the following is expected from the
compiler that get\'s ready:
* Able to take in compiled java source and transform it to the IL code.
* Able to map the core (default, available in official SDK) classes correctly.
So a java.lang.String object in java would be mapped to System.String object in
IL.
* Be able to support the common flags / options of java compiler and il
assembler.
Website:
I have a copy on my computer and looking for a place to host the work done
till now.
It does not exist yet but I\'m working on it.
