I failed to find a way even to test ssh. (The web page I was pointed
to originally had a reference to instructions, but no link, and I
didn't get a reply when I asked where it should point to.) I
eventually found something at http://savannah about doing so, and
tried to follow the instructions. As far as I remember, it told me to
log in. I apparently have an account, but I've no idea how it got set
up or what the password would be. I tried the page that offered to
tell me what it is if I've forgotten it, but the two times I tried, I
never got any mail back. [I don't know anything about savannah, but I
set up Emacs's CVS originally on delysid/melange.]
>From previous experience, I'm not sure ssh will work for me anyhow,
especially ssh1, but I would at least like to try if you can give me
explicit instructions.
