The messages are slightly confusing, but the gist is:

These projects are GNU packages, but are maintained outside savannah 
(e.g. at sourceware.org).
The savannah part only pertains to the web pages (the content of
www.gnu.org/software/XXXX), and GNU webmasters are responsible to update 
them as needed).
