Guess what... Today, IT WORKS with the Savannah repos!  :-))

I was able to pull from git.sv.gnu.org:/srv/git/www-fr.git
and to update from cvs.savannah.gnu.org:/webcvs/www
both with login.

But I still can't pull from vcs.fsf.org:enc.git
