Savannah Hackers,
Anyone know any details about the /etc/aliases file on internal? It
is a very long full list of addresses.
The file has this template:
# Savannah include start
################################################################
# Please DO NOT MODIFY the section in between #
# 'Savannah include start' and 'Savannah include end'. #
# It is generated automatically by sv_aliases #
###############################################################
# Users Accounts
...
# Savannah include end
I notice because it is complaining about a duplicate webmaster
address. And removing this address it is quickly restored by the
above process.
webmaster: root
webmaster: address@hidden
Does anyone know about this process? My questions are the basic
ones. Why does internal need to know about all of these aliases?
AFAIK internal doesn't send email to these addresses. But maybe it
does?
And from where are these addresses assembled? Because obviously we
don't want webmaster mail being overridden to this above address. And
if there is this one, then there will be others that we don't know
about.
