Hello Savannah Hackers,
I'm trying to understand a mailman related issue on lists.gnu.org.
Perhaps this rings a bell for someone, before I try to dig further in the
server's logs.
1. a non-member send an email to 'address@hidden'.
2. As mailing list administrator, I received a message 'post from XXXX requires
approval' (at 01:09AM).
3. In my mailing-list administrator account, I also received the actual
message, as if it has been sent to list members (at 01:09AM).
4. As mailing list administrator, I received a message '1 bug-datamash
moderator request waiting' (at 08:00AM).
5. At around 10:00AM, I entered the mailing list administration page, but the web page
says: "There are no pending requests".
6. The message from the user appears in the archives:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-datamash/2014-11/msg00000.html
7. But, the message from the user seems to not have been sent to other list
members ( I have another email account subscribed as a member, to verify what
is received by list members).
Has his message been somehow approved but not sent?
Or am I missing something ? looking at the wrong place?
Some other explanation ?
Thank,
- Assaf
