Please find /root/frontend.savannah.gnu.org.20120719.tgz on the server.
That is the closest backup of /var/lib/zope2.10 prior to August 4th 2012
we have.
So, I saved the current zope2.10 as -20130519 and unpacked this on
frontend with a symlink, so that we now have:
frontend(50)#$ pwd
/var/lib
frontend(51)#$ lsd zope*
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Feb 28 2009 zope
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 May 19 17:39 zope2.10 -> zope2.10-20130519
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Aug 17 2009 zope2.10-20120719
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Aug 17 2009 zope2.10-20130519
Then I ran /etc/init.d/zope2.10 restart. (Several times, killing old
processes, etc.)
The results were quite mysterious, with the wiki failing to come up at
random times, but anyway, as things stand right now,
http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/FrontPage looks like the old (good)
version. Whether it will persist through a reboot, I can't say.
Any chance of someone else researching how to get plain text dumps out
of zope so we can get to something usable soon?
