John (or anyone) ... what now? Do we require the OP to actually have
Replicant? That would be a very high bar. And I doubt any of us have
it, unless you do, and you probably have other things to do than
actually perform the experiment.
Just take it at face value and accept it? Or?

Thanks for your reply!
I've looked at http://replicant.us and found a post called "Replicant on Nexus
S preview", posted on November 8, 2011, that mentions that "Camera works but
in Black & White preview mode and isnât very stable". Shouldn't this be
enough? My application should work in B/W because it only takes the
luminosity of the camera preview's pixels.
I'll will think about the other suggestion.
