Janaury 8th 2009 in address@hidden thread "Bad
approved projects"
Project boswars (stratagus-bos) uses savannah only for the tracker as
SVN and releases repository are outside, calls the operating system
"Linux", is GNU GPL 2 only, haven't the appropiate licencing
information, etc... Is a clear violation of the hosting requirements.
I was unable to find accurate information about the project
appovation, all I know is from this thread:
http://www.mail-archive.com/address@hidden/msg05556. Was
approved in early 2003 (Without source code yet) by Mathieu Roy
nicknamed yeupou on GNU SV and GNA! who becomed GNA! staffer in 2004
and currently is not on the GNU Savannah staff. I can't confirm this
information because the submission/savannah lists archives are only
from 2005. Originally was named "Battle Of Sturnax" then renamed to
"Invasion - Battle of Survival" and finally to it current name "Bos
War".
This is not the only bad project, time to time I see some old empty
project (Without nothing or almost nothing on CVS or downloads and no
longer used).
On boswars is quite obious I should make a warring, but wath happens
if they ignore the warring? The project is deleted? and wath to do on
those void projects?.
Regards.
