We are not _against_ free software for patented formats
such as GIF and MPEG2 and MP3. We are against distributing
works in those formats, but we don't say you should refuse
to play them if you have them.
However, free software to do these jobs has met with lawsuit threats.
It is best for these to be hosted in countries where it is safe.
