Yes, likewise for Git or GNU Arch.
Sylvain can explain better, but one reason is that all webmasters (i.e.
all memeber of the "www" project) have write access to all web
repositories.
(This of course does not mean that webmasters should modify the pages
without maintainers' consent.)
