[Savannah-cvs] [ManuallyInstalledPackages] (edit) update list of package

From: Beuc
Subject: [Savannah-cvs] [ManuallyInstalledPackages] (edit) update list of packages and their status
Date: Wed, 07 Jan 2009 07:37:56 +0000

??changed:
-* ViewVC (vcs-noshell): the Etch version (still ViewCVS) doesn't support the
new CVS date format
-* XCache (frontend): bytecode cache for PHP; there's no Debian package for
this feature (neither xcache, apm or eaccelerator)
-* ZWiki (frontend): this wiki - Etch package is terribly outdated
* ViewVC (vcs-noshell): the Etch version (still ViewCVS) doesn't support the
new CVS date format; fixed in Lenny though, we can probably downgrade to
packaged 1.0.5 when they include the 1.0.6 security fix
* ZWiki (frontend): this wiki - Etch package is terribly outdated, Lenny will
be 0.60 just like us
* Loggerhead (sftp): only packaged for Ubuntu Jaunty, currently manually
installed but lack all the init scripts and such :/ Consider installing it when
there's Lenny (currently the 'python-central' versions differs and rebuilding
the .deb on Etch is probably a pain)
* Mirror redirector: GeoIP-1.4.5 and Apache2::Geo::Mirror

??changed:
- * Linux kernel with VServer (host/dom0) (in progress - we're currently
manually compile our kernel, but only Beuc knows how to do so - not good. The
backports kernel fails mysteriously when loading the RAID array, need to
investigate somehow.)
-
 * svn (vcs-noshell)
 * hg (vcs-noshell)
 * bzr (sftp)
 * php5-xcache (frontend)
 * util-vserver (host/dom0)

In progress:

 * Linux kernel with VServer (host/dom0): we currently manually compile our
kernel, but only Beuc knows how to do so - not good. The backports kernel fails
mysteriously when loading the RAID array, and sysadmin@ failed to understand
the on-screen errors.
