You're right. This seems to be a subtle problem with the debian search function,
which gave me 1.8.2 in unstable when i searched on "ruby", but 1.8.6 when
i searched on "ruby1.8". It did warn about the search being too wide, but
i hadn't expected that to list an old ruby version under "unstable".

i was clearly wrong in saying this.

i now have in an installation of unstable:

ii  ruby1.8                         1.8.6.36-3 
ii  ruby1.9                         1.9.0+20070910-1


grep "IMAGE_URI =" /usr/lib/ruby/1.?/rss/image.rb

/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rss/image.rb:  IMAGE_URI = 
'http://web.resource.org/rss/1.0/modules/image/'
/usr/lib/ruby/1.9/rss/image.rb:  IMAGE_URI = 
'http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/image/'

So the error is corrected in 1.9.0+20070910-1, while 1.8.6.36-3 remains
uncorrected.
