You can try changing the version and checksums (and temporarily commenting the
modification) to see.

That did not fix the bug:


$ cat .build/software/installed/version-info/proglib/openssl 
OpenSSL 1.1.1g


but the same error occurs: _software/installed/include/openssl/ec.h:274:1:
error: expected declaration specifiers before 'DEPRECATEDIN_1_2_0'_ .

This is on commit b953465d8d3 + the 1.1.1g version number + checksum.
So no, 1.1.1g does not fix this particular bug.
