Can you explain to those of us who are just normal users what things
like "Get rid of API 200 but keep API 201" mean, for someone who just
wants to use the program?

I've updated the description to make it (hopefully) clearer. Basically, the only question is if you need (remote) compatibility with rdiff-backup v2.0 (API 200) and/or v2.2 (API 201), or if you don't need it and prefer to favorize speed of development.

Keep the questions coming,
Eric
