Hello everybody,

We're planning a fix-only release and this is the first release
candidate to allow anybody to test this release, all details in the
change log </rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/blob/v2.0.1rc0/CHANGELOG>. Please
focus your tests on the interdependency (with 2.0.0) and remote aspects,
which are especially difficult to test automatically.

The installation, described in details in the read me
</rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/blob/v2.0.1rc0/README.md>, has the quick
version:

  * Linux, trust on your distro to provide the latest version of
    rdiff-backup "soon-ish"
      o On Fedora/CentOS/RHEL, you may use Frank's COPR repo

<https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/frankcrawford/rdiff-backup/>
      o On Ubuntu, you may use Otto's PPA repo

<https://code.launchpad.net/~rdiff-backup/+archive/ubuntu/rdiff-backup-development>
  * Windows, download the asset |rdiff-backup-2.0.1rc0.win32exe.zip|
    from the tagged release
    <https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/releases/tag/v2.0.1rc0>
    and unpack it somewhere in your |PATH|.
  * Any supported Platform, use |pip install rdiff-backup --pre| (or
    download and install the proper asset from the tagged release
    <https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/releases/tag/v2.0.1rc0>).

If you encounter issues, contact us on the rdiff-backup-users mailing
list <https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/rdiff-backup-users>
and/or report an issue
<https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/issues/new>.

Kind Regards, Eric for the team
