Hi,

After some recent upgrads of our Scientific Linux systems, I have been
seeing the following warning:

"Warning: Your version of pyxattr (unknown) has broken support for extended
attributes on symlinks. If you choose not to upgrade to a more recent version,
you may see many warning messages from listattr()."

followed by many instances of these errors

"
ListError bin/aumix-minimal/awk [Errno 95] Operation not supported
ListError bin/bash/bsh [Errno 95] Operation not supported
"

The warning is at least misleading. On neither target nor source system
is the Python pyxattr package installed (I suppose that is what it is
referring to). It is not part of the Scientific Linux distribution.

It would be better for the warning to say that the Python package isn't
installed, and what to do about it (does it need to be on both systems?)

The versions of rdiff-backup on both machines is
        rdiff-backup-1.2.4-1
The source machine runs SL 4.2, and the target runs 5.2.

Cheers!
