Sounds cool to me, I'm sure my company would support it. I've been using
rdiff-backup now for a few months, and have now converted my backup system
to rely on it in production.
Anyway, ransomeware is kinda cool from a users perspective because we can
split the cost of the software up among the users (ie. we split a few
thousand dollars a thousand ways, vs we each pay thousands).

You can add proposed features to the Wiki - there are plenty there.
While we are on that topic what does everyone think of encouraging Ben
to think about rdiff-backup being ransomware for some new features?
ie, we donate money and once the money has reached a threshhold, new
features are worked on and realeased.... that we we get to put our money
where our mouthes are :)
My company would be happy to consider something like this:
http://www.swelltech.com/virtualmin/ransomware.html
if it meant we could have more features etc in what is already an
awesome product.
Note sure if Ben wants to put that much time into it though :)
