The user which rdiff is running as (not root on the backup-server, in
this case) has full permissions for the backup target directory.
One of the error messages concern
/home/backup/HOST_NAME/home/.sites/48/site10/web/cms-basis/modules/NS-DynamicMenu/inc/CVS/Entries
to which the rdiff-backup user should have full permissions, because it itself
created
/home/backup/HOST_NAME/home/.sites/48/site10/web/cms-basis/modules/NS-DynamicMenu/inc/CVS/
By the way: In this particular setup (involving a Red Hat 7.3 backup
server and a mixture of Cobalt Linux and Red Hat Linux servers being
backed up), there hasn't been problems before updating to rdiff-backup
0.12.
