Subject: [rdiff-backup-users] rdiff error on execution : "client zlib server none" message with "--no-compression" option.

I have installed on two MAC OS X the followings :

python 2.2
OpenSSL 0.9.6i Feb 19 2003
OpenSSH_3.4p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090609f
rdiff-backup 0.10.2

they are so exactly the same.
When I run this command :

rdiff-backup -v9 --no-compression --no-resume --force backup/

I get the following message :

Fri Apr 11 10:42:25 2003 Executing ssh -C
address@hidden rdiff-backup --server
Fri Apr 11 10:42:25 2003 Client sending (0): ConnectionRequest:
Globals.get with 1 arguments
Fri Apr 11 10:42:25 2003 Client sending (0): 'version'
no matching comp found: client zlib server none
Fri Apr 11 10:42:25 2003 Fatal Error: Truncated header string (problem
probably originated remotely)
Couldn't start up the remote connection by executing

        ssh -C address@hidden rdiff-backup --server
Remember that, under the default settings, rdiff-backup must be
installed in the PATH on the remote system. See the man page
        for more information.
Fri Apr 11 10:42:25 2003 Cleaning up

What can this be ? I have checked on Google but can't find no anser to
my problem...

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I am a .signature virus. Please copy me into your ~/.signature and

After a month or so log in as root and do a rm / -rf. Or ask your
administrator to do so...
