Hi, sorry for responding so late, and I'm just sending this message to
tell you I'm putting off further thought (at least on my part).  There
are some interesting issues here, but I think the next thing I should
look at is the journaling stuff discussed on this list about 2 months
ago, and features like --windows-mode that were disabled in 0.11.1.
That will probably be enough for the 0.11.x series.  Hopefully I will
have a chance to look at the restore and excluded files stuff in
0.13.x.
