I don't think it affects me either, but as said "set go=" is what i have in 
my .gvimrc

The way I have understood things this is really a bug in gvim. It should 
understand that it is resized when the menu is removed. So the bug really 
should be fixed where it is rather than adding work around code in rp.

Could anyone who truely understands things please verify that this is a vi 
problem? You emacsen ppl should love doing that i suppose?

You know:

apt-get install vim-gtk
gvim
:set go=
C-t ' emacs
M-x killall gvim

Or skip the last line, keep it running & installed and remove emacs! ;)
