Hello, I'm new to the list. I'm using xinerama and ratpoison with two
heads
no worries. Maybe I misunderstood the question. I've been using rp for
two
weeks now on my desktop and... well it's not half-bad. :). For someone
like
me who has always hated managing windows with the mouse and for whom
over-
lapping windows... well *shudder*, you get the picture, ratpoison is a
step
in the gooood direction. I also want to be able to do everything from
the
keyboard and I hate it when I have to "resort" to the mouse.
I'm planning on using rp for iPAQ, for an industrial app that we've
written (http://www.easter-eggs.org/article123.html). Normally that
would
be a poor choice because of the lack of a kb, but that's actually the
beauty
of it for our needs. Only our app is auto-launched and the user can't do
anything else but that with his/her iPAQ. No tinkering, no admin/repair.
:-)
We'll couple rp with "keylaunch" to toggle a software keyboard bound to
one
of the hardware buttons on the iPAQ. AFAIK rp doesn't handle key
bindings
but since keylaunch handles it, then why reinvent the wheel?
Cheers,
