Hi,
I'm using QEMU with icount align=off,sleep=off,shift=0 option on
Windows. I try it with different QEMU version (2.8, 2.10. 2.11rc3)
This works fine, apart from host CPU usage. I expect that it should use 100% CPU, however it does so only for specific moments when guest performs many CPU operations.
Similar situation is when I try it on VirtualBox Linux machine
hosted by Windows.
I'm able to run two, tree such guests but none of them uses host
CPU in 100%.
One thing on Windows could be that applications don't have
straight glibc nanosleep method (MSYS2 Windows port). This could
explain behavior on Windows host.
However on Linux and VirtualBox it is not clear.
With virtual clock option, machines works significantly faster,
but unfortunately don't distribute interrupts generation equally.
I generate irq-s from my custom hardware components compiled into
QEMU. With icount they work perfectly.
