I don't think that's unreasonable if there are no regressions booting 
mac99 images. For example, the SPARC64 sun4u machine has some 
interesting quirks to work around the mapping of legacy IO ports which 
while they don't look anything like reality (and would never work on 
real hardware), are enough to allow some usable sun4u emulation under QEMU.
