What command line options are you passing to QEMU? Newer kernels seem to want a 32-bit display depth, e.g. -g 1024x768x32 and you may also need to specify the newer Mac99 machine with -M mac99 too.I try: qemu-system-ppc -cdrom /home/sacarde/lubuntu-13.04-desktop-powerpc.iso -m 512 -k en-us -net nic -net tap,vlan=0,ifname=tap0 -boot d -hda /home/sacarde/mioppc2.img -cpu G4 -M mac99 -g 800x600x16 but stop is at same point
That's still not 32-bit display depth: for that you need to try "-g 800x600x32" rather than "-g 800x600x16". I'm not sure what the status of "-cpu G4" is, but perhaps one of the other PPC people will be able to help you with that.
