P.S.

I think you swapped the two log file names.
Based on Mr. Maydell's post (which I didn't see before
posting), that line might just describe the 256MB window,
not the whole RAM.

The log for the small initrd seems to log details of where
that initrd was located in memory, but the log for the big
initrd doesn't get that far before dying.
