[Qemu-discuss] stable version of virtio for windows 2012

Hi ,

 

for some reason on some of our windows machines we have to use win2012 (NO r2!)

win2012 r2 runns perfect with virtio drivers

 

but with win2012 performance decreases after some hours and then gets very very bad. Writes about ¼ of standard ide driver. 4k random iops is almost dead….

And the hosts shows a very high iowait!

With ide i have not even ¼ of iowait on the host but 4 times more throughoutput and 10 times more 4k iops…

 

Any idea? Or suggestions?
