I’m working on a project that uses a Tensilica 108mini CPU and want to set up a QEMU environment so that we can develop the firmware before the hardware is ready.
I’ve got the latest QEMU git code and imported our current configuration using the import_core.sh script. When running QEMU with an ELF of our current firmware and using GDB it can be seen that it is not starting at the reset vector and the memory is all zero, but all the registers return values.
I’ve tried using the QEMU from the ESP8266 forum and that seems to initialise to the correct reset vector, but the registers don’t all report correctly and the memory is still all zero.
I’ve tried using the provided dc232b and that works fine.
Does anybody have any experience in adding a new CPU to QEMU and can point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance
