here you have a small contradiction, both in the current ARM implementation, 
and in your proposal, the full kernel path is passed as argv[0].

perhaps you could rephrase the text for the manual. the idea to transmit is 
that, if specified, --semihosting-config always takes precedence; 
-kernel/-append have a different purpose and although, for compatibility 
reasons, they can still be used to pass semihosting args, their use is 
deprecated in favour of --semihosting-config.
