Based on a grep of machine_opts, the following suboptions are broken:

- mem-merge
- dump-guest-core
- phandle_start
- iommu
- kernel_irqchip
- kvm_shadow_mem

None is really as important as -usb, so I would have no problem with
unfreezing the tree, but we definitely should have a timeframe for
fixing it.
