It seems we are almost there, please find my minor comments inline, 
mostly from the part I haven't reviewed in the previous series.

My main concern is that we end up with (one of) the most complex code
generator in QEMU, which takes all cases into account (especially with
regard to constants) to generate a very optimized code. Experience has 
shown that the time spent in the code generation is not negligible, and
that it is often better to generate a less optimized code, but quicker.
For that it's better to optimize the most common cases, but leave the 
rare cases unoptimized.

That said now that the code exists I will merge it as it is.
