I think the wiki should contain different articles for configuration, command line options, compilation, network configuration (tun/tap needs different articles for every host) so on, and the "how to install X guest" should be in the os support list.

That's a clean way to do it IMHO.

Nope. I think migrating chunks of reasonable static content from qemu-doc.texi into the wiki would be a potentially non-contraversal thing to do.
