The patchset is based on Uli's S390x userspace emulation patches. There's not really that much shared functionality, but I didn't want to reimplement the
configure wheels. So make sure to have his patches applied first.

Hmm. How hard would it be to wind up the cpu emulation bits so I can run s390x virtual machines on my x86 box?

It's feasible, but currently not implemented. I also don't know enough of the s390x internals to do it as is :-). On S390 the hardware and OS handle most of the virtualization parts themselves.

Uli, any comments on this?

Either way - let's focus on getting it working with KVM first!
