Also tried the OFW thing "com1 io"...
With OpenBIOS r452 (two days old), you can simply use -nographic.

No, because the previous one (r450) is 9 days old and still nobody has
reported any bugs with it, so it must be perfect and there is no need
to update the image. ;-)
