Hi list,
I seem to be unable to install on a XP host a Solaris 9 guest.
Here's my command line:
qemu.exe -L . -m 256 -isa -localtime -hda s9.img -cdrom sol-9-u7-install-x86.iso
-boot d
where s9.img is a zeroed 4Gb file. Size doesn't change the behaviour.
"-pci" doesn't help, due to pci spurious reset
"-isa" does help, but the X11 server dies a few clicks later and leaves me
the following text:
(EE) screenInfo.numScreens = 1
(==) Log file: "/var/log/XFree86.0.log", Time: Wed Dec 31 16:00:00 1969
(EE) PreInit done
After more investigations, it does seem the fdisk was successful, but the
server XFree doesn't seem to hold long enough to complete the setup.
Anyone saw this before ?
Rgds,
Zitu
