I tried -cirrus-vga at first, as instructed, but it wouldn't work. I would get an error on the command line, something about cirrus not being recognized or supported, I forget.
It's -cirrusvga, not -cirrus-vga. But in recent versions (since 0.6.0, I guess), cirrus is the default anyway. What happens when you specify neither -cirrusvga nor -std-vga?
