Use Git to check out the latest source code at

Compile according to the instructions in README.CVS (which should
probably be updated and renamed README.GIT), and start trying to break
PSPP any way you can.

BTW: Some time ago, I wrote this:

It generates random data sets. I wrote it to test REGRESSION, but it
could be used to automate random tests for any procedure.  Anyone is
welcome to use it.
